Well you've made sensible point. There might be some leftover files in your registry or appdata folder from the first installation that are telling the game to launch the Japanese version.

The only way i can think of is to purchase a physical version from a nother country. I had to do that with left 4 dead 2, as at that time in australia, you could only get the censored version.
